These Terms of Use explain what BeforeShare provides, how subscriptions work, and the responsibilities that apply when you use the app before sharing photos from your iPhone.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using BeforeShare, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you download BeforeShare from the Apple App Store, Apple’s applicable terms and the Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement may also apply where required. If there is a conflict between those mandatory Apple terms and these Terms of Use, Apple’s mandatory terms control to the extent of the conflict.
Description of Service
BeforeShare is a photo privacy detection and cleanup tool for iPhone. The app uses on-device technologies to help users:
- scan photos for privacy risks before sharing
- detect faces, text, QR codes, barcodes, and visible details that may require redaction
- blur or redact selected content
- review and remove metadata before exporting a safer copy
BeforeShare is intended to assist with privacy review, not to replace the user’s own final review of the image before sharing.
Subscription Terms
Free usage
BeforeShare currently includes up to 3 free exports per week, subject to the app's current offer and availability.
Pro plans
Paid access may be offered through a Monthly Pro subscription or an Annual Pro subscription, with prices shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
Auto-renewal
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Manage billing
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and can be managed or canceled through your Apple ID subscription settings after purchase.
Additional subscription terms:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renewal is turned off.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple’s App Store refund policies.
- If prices change, we will provide notice through the App Store listing, inside the app, or both before the new pricing takes effect where required.
- Promotional offers, trials, or feature limits may vary by region, storefront, or app version.
User Conduct
You agree to use BeforeShare lawfully and responsibly. You may not:
- use the app in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others
- attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse engineer the service except where such restriction is prohibited by law
- use BeforeShare to facilitate unlawful surveillance, harassment, fraud, or abuse
You remain responsible for the photos you choose to edit, export, or share.
Disclaimer
BeforeShare is intended to reduce privacy risks, but it may not detect every sensitive detail in every image. The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
You are responsible for making the final decision about whether an image is safe to share. Detection and redaction tools are aids, not guarantees.
Intellectual Property
BeforeShare, including its software, branding, interface design, text, graphics, and related materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the app under these terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
Your original photos remain yours or the property of their respective owners. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to edit and share the content you use with BeforeShare.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeforeShare and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of BeforeShare and its developer for claims arising out of these terms or the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing, whichever is greater.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to BeforeShare if required by law, if the service is discontinued, or if we reasonably believe your use violates these Terms of Use. You may stop using BeforeShare at any time by uninstalling the app and canceling any active subscription through Apple.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of BeforeShare is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless consumer protection law in your place of residence requires the application of a different law or venue.
